Since seniors will be taking FINALS this week, all Symphony Band, Orchestra, and Wind Ensemble students will take the written portion of the final with the seniors. The written final for Symphony Band will be Tuesday and Wind Ensemble and Orchestra will be Wednesday. Be sure to bring a #2 pencil for the written final. The scale performance section of the senior finals will be on Tuesday and Wednesday; underclassmen will have the opportunity to complete their scales at the same time.
FINAL EXAM REQUIREMENTS
All music storage areas must be completely cleaned out by the end of the day on Wednesday. You are expected to sign-off as acknowledgement that all responsibilities have been met. In addition, all music must be returned by the end of class on Wednesday. If you were not present or did not have your music the day it was returned, it is your responsibility to file your music in the proper folder.
SCHOOL INSTRUMENTS AND MOUTHPIECES
If you are a senior, you need to return school instruments and/or mouthpieces by the end of class WEDNESDAY. Be sure you have cleaned your instrument properly before returning.
Seniors who do not sign-off on their responsibilities, return equipment, and/or turn-in music will have their diploma held. It is your personal responsibility to return items; I will not hunt you down!
Underclassmen may keep their school instruments and mouthpiece until completing the playing portion of the final exam. If you want to check out equipment for the summer, you may do so after your instrument has been assessed for summer repairs. Marching instruments (mellophones, bell front baritones, and sousaphones) will also be available for summer practice.
Some of the mallet instruments will be available for percussionists to check out over the summer for home practice. Interested individuals should see me finals week for more information.
Seniors: As you finish your final week as a Stevenson student, consider changing your music note status to alumni /community updates so you can continue to receive updates on music matters important to our music community. You can change your status by clicking the link at the bottom of this email.

Underclassmen who would like an alternative to taking PE and/or Health during the school year, summer school is an excellent way to take classes over the summer, which opens your schedule during the school year for other classes. More information is available through the Stevenson counselors.
Starting in June, Mercy Elite Sports Performance will be providing cross training classes for Marching Band athletes on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Click here for more information.
Summer music camps, clinics, and workshops are a great way to stay involved with music over the summer. As I learn of opportunities, I will post information on the LSMB Facebook page.
