Itinerary (posted 9/10/17)
View the itinerary above for a quick glance schedule and map of Wayne Memorial's facilities. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from Wayne Memorial HS.
Schedule details for the day:
Individuals with large instruments that must be transported by an equipment truck (pit percussion, drumline, sousaphones) must help load all equipment. All pit members and drumline are responsible for their equipment and need to be at SHS for loading AND unloading of equipment. If you are late, you will miss your opportunity to use the truck and will be responsible for transporting your instrument to Wayne Memorial HS. The truck will leave SHS by 12:00p.
There will be NO BUS transportation to or from Wayne Memorial. Everyone will meet at Wayne Memorial HS in complete uniform (including show shirt), with instruments. Make sure you have BLACK SOCKS! Hair must be pulled up and under your hat (boys with long hair too!) and no clothing hanging out from under your uniform. Be sure to eat a good lunch that is low in sugar and high in protein before arriving at Wayne Memorial.
We will meet in the Alumni building (behind the main HS building) where check-in is located.
Full Band warm-up @ Wayne Memorial
Staging (gate to prepare for performance)
PERFORMANCE followed by clinic
Individuals are free to depart. If you need your instrument transported back to SHS, make sure you load it on the truck and then meet us back at SHS to unload. Please don’t leave someone else to unload your instrument! ALL drumline and pit are expected to help unload at SHS.
There will be concessions where spectators can purchase snacks. Band members will not have time to go to concessions before our performance so be sure you have eaten a good lunch before arriving at Wayne Memorial HS. If you plan to eat after our performance, remove your jacket and keep it safely in you possession.
Again, we will NOT be busing students to or from Wayne Memorial HS. Students are responsible for their own transportation and transporting their instruments.
Spectator Tickets: $5 per person, children/seniors
