Spirit wear items ordered online last month will be available for pick-up at the Marching Band Preseason event Wednesday night or in classes Thursday.
Individuals will take the written portion of the final exam on the exam day scheduled for each class. We will continue the scale performance section of the finals this week. All scales (final exams and card marking 4 scales) must be complete by Friday, June 8. Student owned instruments must go home Friday, June 8 (after school). It is important that all instruments go home Friday so your instrument does not get stored away with school equipment! All school owned instruments and equipment must be stored securely for the summer!
SCHOOL INSTRUMENTS AND MOUTHPIECES
Underclassmen may keep their school instruments and mouthpiece until completing the playing portion of the final exam. If you want to check out equipment for the summer, you may do so after your instrument has been assessed for summer repairs. Marching instruments (mellophones, bell front baritones, and sousaphones) will also be available for summer practice. Be sure to complete a summer instrument contract to expedite the check-out process.
Some of the mallet instruments will be available for percussionists to check out over the summer for home practice. Interested individuals should see me finals week for more information.
To avoid instrument maintenance issues and damage over the summer months, students will have the opportunity to take a school instrument home over the summer. I encourage individuals to consider taking a school instrument home for the summer so we can avoid temperature issues with our string instruments, valve issues with our brass, and other unfortunate summer damage. If you can house some of our new instruments (cellos, basses, tubas, sousaphones, horns, trombones, bassoons), please let me know by Friday, June 8.

Summer music camps, clinics, and workshops are a great way to stay involved with music over the summer. As I learn of opportunities, I will post information on the LSMB Facebook page.
