MARCHING BAND TOUR - Tuesday, October 31
The Stevenson Marching Band will embark on a Halloween Tour Tuesday, October 31. We will perform for the students and staff of Holmes MS, Hoover Elementary, and Riley Upper Elementary throughout the day. Thank you to the parents who have volunteered to transport students from SHS to Holmes and Riley back to Stevenson at the end of the day. Parents driving in the morning should meet in the band room at 8:30a to pick up your passengers. Once we arrive at Holmes, we will have LPS bus transportation to Hoover and Riley. Parents who are transporting from Riley back to Stevenson should arrive at Riley by 3:15p. In the link below, please find the list of students who registered and the cars they have been assigned. The first tab is an alphabetical list while the next two tabs are AM and PM by car. As you can see, we are still short 1-2 drivers for our return to SHS. If you are available, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org to let me know the number of students you can transport. If your name does not appear on the list, you did not register by 3p on Friday. Thank you to all who are helping to make the tour a great experience for our current and upcoming musicians.
Band members need to meet in the band room at 8:30a to change into Halloween costumes and depart for Holmes by 8:45a. Since we will be on tour until 3:30p, individuals must bring a bag lunch to eat in the band room at Riley. You will NOT be able to purchase a lunch so be sure to bring a bag lunch!

SAVE YOUR SHOES!
We’ve been telling you about our shoe fundraiser for a few weeks now, and it’s finally here!
The music boosters are sponsoring a shoe drive to benefit the music program at Stevenson while also helping people in developing countries get the shoes they need!
Our goal is to collect 2,500 pairs of gently used shoes before December 19th. That might sound like a lot, but almost everyone has a pair of shoes they’re not wearing, and with over 300 students in the music program, we can easily reach our goal.
Collection boxes are located in the band and the choir rooms. Shoes can be dropped off any day.
What kind of shoes are we looking for? Basically, any new or gently used shoe or boot that you would consider giving to a friend. Men’s or women’s. Any size. Any style.
Please nothing with holes or soles separating from the uppers. And nothing that smells (like those old soccer shoes.)
For more information on our program, click on http://ourshoedrive.com/livonia-stevenson-music-boosters/
Click below for a copy of the flyer that will be given to students in music classes this week.
Thank you for your help!
