Friday, November 10 (Concert 7p; Marathon 8p-2a)
The music department will hold its seventh Music Marathon Friday 11/10/17 at Stevenson High School. The evening will begin at 7 p.m. with our FALL COLLAGE CONCERT. ALL band and orchestra members are expected to perform in the concert. Dress for this concert is casual. Musicians participating in the music marathon should wear their marathon t-shirt and jeans. Individuals not participating in the marathon after the concert should wear Stevenson apparel/colors and jeans. The concert is a public event. We hope family and friends will come out to hear some great music in our new Performing Arts Center!
For the MUSIC MARATHON musicians are expected to wear the Stevenson Music Marathon t-shirt to the event as well as jeans, socks and shoes for the entire event. No pajamas, bare feet, flip-flops, or shorts will be permitted. (T-shirts will be distributed in class the week of the marathon.)
At the conclusion of the concert, audience members and musicians not registered to participate in the marathon will need to exit the building to allow for the set-up and start of the marathon.
Remember that ALL personal items are the responsibility of the individual who brings them to the lock-in. I encourage individuals to leave personal items at home!
Registration form for the event can be found in the link below. Individuals can still register, but those registering this week will NOT receive a commemorative t-shirt. Complete the registration form and return to Mrs. Wickman with payment in a sealed envelope marked Music Marathon. This evening is a great opportunity for the Stevenson musicians to bond and have fun making music together. Get registered so you don’t miss out on any of the fun!

We are on our way to collecting 2500 pairs of shoes! Collection boxes are in the Choir and Band rooms.
We’re also collecting shoes at the Music Marathon. For every pair of shoes donated that day, the student will receive a ticket for a chance to win multiple prizes, including a $40 gift certificate to Foot Locker so they can buy a new pair of shoes for themselves!
Remember, any pair of shoes or boots that you don’t wear but would consider giving to a friend would be perfect for the shoe drive.
