Music Letter Requirements and Application
Instrumental music students may qualify to receive a music letter. See the requirements and application in the link below for more information. Concert Ensemble letters will be awarded at the Awards banquet in May. Applications must be turned in to Mrs. Wickman by April 1 for verification.
To qualify for a letter in Marching Band, a student must participate in the ensemble for two years and fulfill daily rehearsal expectations. In addition, attendance is expected at all scheduled performances. Students must display a positive attitude toward the ensemble. Rehearsal preparation and superior citizenship will be given equal weight. Marching Band letters will be awarded at the December concert. |
SmartMusic
SmartMusic allows students to improve their skills by providing instant feedback. In order for students to access the software on our school iPads, they must create a free account and register for their band or orchestra class. Directions to complete these tasks can be pound in the link below. Once everything is up and running smoothly, I will allow some performance tests to be taken using SmartMusic. The school iPads may also be used to practice music we are working on in class or solo literature that is available in the SmartMusic library.
